Lana Davy has recouped the money she paid for the Graeme Mudge painting of the Irish Rover after huge support from the Gisborne community.
The painting was a gift to the Grealish family (who owned the Irish Rover) and painted by the late Gisborne artist. After it was posted for
sale on Facebook by a third party, Mrs Davy bought it so it could be returned to the family.
Mrs Davy said the painting’s price had been reached, it was now back with the family, and people could stop donating now. “Thank you Gisborne,” she said.
