Rocket Lab’s 45th Electron mission, “Owl Night Long,” lifted off from Mahia early yesterday morning. It launched at 4.30am, successfully deploying a satellite for Japanese Earth-observation company Synspective. Rocket Lab has been the sole launch provider for Synspective’s constellation, previously delivering three satellites across launches — one in 2020 andtwo in 2022. Rocket Lab will launch two more missions for Synspective as part of a multi-launch agreement signed in 2023. Owl Night Long was Rocket Lab’s third Electron mission of this year. Its next launch is scheduled to lift off no earlier than March 20 from Launch Complex 2 in Wallops, Virginia in the United States for the National Reconnaissance Office.
