“There has been a postponement in major high-profile releases due to the global closure of cinemas.

“We are consulting on the protocols, training, preparation and programme required to adapt to the new industry recommendations.

“The Odeon will be re-opening some time within the next few weeks, with an interesting selection of product.

“At this stage, the earliest proposed major new studio release dates are Tenet on July 16 and Disney's Mulan on July 23, and there are some exciting blockbusters to follow.

“The Odeon is introducing some changes to ensure the safety of cinema patrons and staff, and will continue to provide a quality cinema experience.”

■ Limited screenings at the Dome Cinema are planned during the Alert Level 2 period.

Upcoming films will be announced on Monday and at this stage screenings will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
