NZCT grants of $111k for local organisations

Gisborne Riding for the Disabled, YMP Rugby Football Club and Te Hapara School are among local organisations receiving a welcome cash injection in the latest round of New Zealand Community Trust grants.

A total of $111,015 has been approved for Tairawhiti groups. They are (whole dollar amounts only):

• Brain Injury Association Gisborne Inc, $2013, for computer laptop.

• Gisborne Riding for Disabled Inc, $30,000, salaries for assistant coach, manager.

• Gymsports NZ Inc, $5400, salaries of community sport manager and relationship manager.

• No.5 District Federation of NZ Football Inc, $3271, travel costs for 2022 National Youth Development League (equalised across all regions).

• Paikea Kindergarten, $5565, deck extension (includes panelling and fittings for fencing deck).

• Parkinson’s NZ, $2964, salaries for nurses in Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Taranaki and Manawatu.

• Poverty Bay-East Coast Indoor Bowls Association Inc, $3430, accommodation.

• Squash Eastern Inc, $6675, contractor delivering to clubs across Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne.

• Te Hapara School, $16,250, playground.

• Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Tokomaru, $16,000, shade sails.

• YMP Rugby Football Club Inc, $19,444, uniforms and equipment.
