Gisborne gymnasts will benefit from the biggest NZCT grant, $54,000. Photo / Duncan Brown

Gisborne organisations have been awarded $140,765 from the New Zealand Community Trust in its latest funding round.

The largest NZCT grant of $54,000 has been allocated to Gisborne Gymnastics Club for the salaries of the head coach, preschool coach, finance administrator and operations manager.

Swim for Life Tairāwhiti has received $20,000 for swimming lessons and a contractor fee for the manager.

A grant of $15,000 has been given to Gisborne Trampoline Club. This will be used for equipment and to pay the salary of the head coach.

Wainui Sports and Recreation Club has received $15,000 for court resurfacing.

Toitu Ngati Porou Trustee Limited has received $13,000 for event costs.

Te Wharau School has been granted $10,000 for a playground.

Gisborne Area Jumping and Showhunter Inc: $4622.00 for a rail trailer.

Proprietors of Anaura: $4143.00 for T-shirts, singlets and hats.

Raparapaririki Charitable Trust: $5000, salary.
