Response from NZ First:
The funding models and cost structures of DHBs have become outdated and unnecessarily complex. They are obscure and unhelpful to the DHBs as they endeavour to provide services to the community.
New Zealand First is committed to a reviewof the DHBs and this will include a full investigation of the number of DHBs, their geographical areas of service, their funding models and the costs that are imposed by central government including the anomalous capital charge regime.
