“Our seven-day average is now 13.7 cases,” the spokeswoman said.
The Ministry of Health says the deaths of 3039 people can be “attributed to Covid-19”.
There have been 2,384 172 cases across the country and there are 9855 active cases.
In the week to 1pm on Monday the Ministry reported 49 Covid deaths.
Two were from Northland, nine were from the Auckland region, three from Waikato, four from Bay of Plenty, two from Hawke’s Bay, one from Taranaki, three from MidCentral, one from Whanganui, five from Wellington region, three from Nelson-Marlborough, 11 from Canterbury, one from South Canterbury, and four were from Southern health district.
Two were in their 40s, two were in their 50s, five in their 60s, eight in their 70s, 15 in their 80s and 17 were aged over 90.
Of these people, 20 were women and 29 were men.
