The son of Gisborne couple Billy and Tara and husband of Gisborne's Patti Grogan was in the starting 15 as Ireland grafted out a 10-6 halftime lead before a late burst of tries put England away and sent a nation into party mode a day after St Patrick's Day.
Gibson-Park, who plays for the Leinster club alongside another Gisborne product, Charlie Ngatai, made his Ireland debut in October 2020 and has not looked back.
He was a pivotal part of their historic series win over the All Blacks in New Zealand as Ireland advanced to No.1 on the world rankings.
Yesterday's win followed Six Nations victories over Wales (34-10), France (32-19), Italy (34-20) and Scotland (22-7).
It also sent a powerful statement six months out from the Rugby World Cup where Gibson-Park will get the chance to add the sport's ultimate honour to his collection.
