Opinion

Re Lara Meyer's attempt to further blur the truth (Invitation, Nov 3).

I never said or intimated that clean water was a bad idea, or that I was against the principle of clean water. Even I'm not that bloody stupid.

I have no idea what the “pasting” comment is about but I suspect you don't like competition, given your regular diatribes on all and sundry.

I did say that the sales job was a load of BS delivered by an incompetent minister supported by an incompetent government.

I did say that a lack of credibility and facts led to the idea being rejected (by 60 of 67 councils) for want of more information, not more BS.

I don't recall any of the councils saying clean water was a bad idea either.

So what did the power crazy lefties do? They passed a law forcing the idea on all of us — which is undemocratic. I did say that and I still do.

What you need to do is get your head out of the sand or wherever else it is residing and ask why your mob and the greens are in for an arse kicking of biblical proportions come next election, unless they start representing us democratically. This is not the Eastern Bloc, we still believe in the democratic process (with its shortcomings) because it leaves the alternatives for dead.
