The Gisborne Herald undergoes a design and content refresh from Wednesday, May 1.

As you will have read in March, The Gisborne Herald is now owned by NZME (New Zealand Media and Entertainment). NZME publishes five regional daily newspapers, 15 community newspapers, The New Zealand Herald and nzherald.co.nz

The paper remains committed to local news and information that is important to the people of Tairāwhiti. This will be supplemented with the best content from NZME’s 300-plus journalists and leading international syndicated content to bring you the best of local, national and international news. Some of the features you love like weather, puzzles etc will get a fresh design.

There are also new magazines that will be included in the paper. New Zealand’s most read travel magazine — Travel — will be in Tuesday’s paper. OneRoof Property magazine will be in Thursday’s paper and lifestyle magazine Viva Local Life will be included in the Saturday paper.

Subscribers to The Gisborne Herald have a great additional benefit, with all five-day-a-week subscribers to the paper also receiving a complimentary NZ Herald Premium online subscription to keep up to date with best news from around New Zealand as it happens.
