Co-governance isn’t always race based. We had the National Party government which did, and will do, co-governance under the guise of public-private partnerships, partial asset sales and management contracts. Each one of these were with corporates, mainly from overseas.
In the past they have done co-governance with Maori at little cost and certainly at much less than the cost of the profits corporate co-governance takes.
I’m not sure why this #nznationalparty opposition objects so much to co-governance with the kaitiaki or caretakers of our land, except for racist dog whistling.
