THE Motu Trails Charitable Trust was thrilled that so many people got on their bikes and joined its fundraising ride last Sunday.
About 100 people turned out to take part in the trust’s Rere Falls Trail Adventure Ride and MTCT executive officer Jim Robinson said the day was expected to
eventually raise “quite a few thousand dollars”.
“This was organised by Motu Trails Charitable Trust as an opportunity to get people out on Rere Falls Trail, and as a fundraiser for the trust. It was held in memory of former trustee Richard Coates.
“Most of the riders either rode 105km from Motu, or from Eastwoodhill Arboretum to The Jolly Stockman. It was a super positive day with all ages just enjoying being out and active.”
Rotorua’s Bruce Webber won the $500 spot prize.
