Hubbard and Edwards’ bail applications are opposed by police and could not be heard yesterday as the proposed bail addresses were still to be checked.
Judge Turitea Bolstad further remanded the pair in custody to apply for bail on Friday.
Michael Hubbard faces different charges to the rest of the group. Although similarly alleged to have been possessing meth for supply, the other charges against him are possession of cannabis and being unlawfully in possession of a firearm — a 0.22 rifle.
He was granted bail on conditions. His case will be called again at a registrar’s list in Wairoa District Court on October 29.
The rest of the group will also be called that day.
The two arrested at the weekend — a 32-year-old woman and 26-year-old man — were due to appear in court on multiple drug-related charges
More than 60 police officers, including several from specialist teams elsewhere, assisted in the operation and a search of eight Wairoa properties.
Large quantities of cash and methamphetamine and two firearms were seized by police.
More than $1 million worth of residential property and vehicles were restrained as assets potentially gained through the proceeds of crime.
■ Another suspected meth dealer was arrested in Wairoa but not in relation to Operation Horizon.
Angus Hendrix Ngarangione, 30, was charged with being in possession of methamphetamine for supply after police searched a house on September 23, finding about 15 grams of methamphetamine.
He appeared in court on Friday and again yesterday. His bail application is also opposed by police and was also adjourned until Friday for an address to be checked.
