The search for missing Tokomaru Bay woman Lucy Welsh had a happy ending on Monday night when she was found by searching police.

Earlier that day police appealed for any sightings of her after she was reported missing in Tokomaru Bay.

Police and her family had concerns for her wellbeing.

“Police located her at a property on the Mata Road at around 6,30pm Monday night,” police said.

“She was safe and sound, and was quickly reunited with her whānau — much to their relief, and also to police.”
