The new $8 million Midway Surf Rescue Community Hub will be officially opened tomorrow with an invited crowd of around 250 people expected for the event.

A range of speakers will include Mayor Rehette Stoltz, Shannon Williams from Kānoa (the Regional Economic Development and Investment Unit), the chair of the Community Hub Trust Matthew Pickering, project manager Anna Roberts, and ironman Cory Taylor.

The club’s patrol flags will be hoisted for the first time to complete the ceremony, which begins at 12 noon.
