What is happening to New Zealand Post?

It seems ironic that NZ Post will increase the cost of postage on July 1, yet have such poor service for mail delivery — one wonders how they can justify it.

I ordered stamps from the stamp and collectable bureau in Wanganui on June 8 at 10am. I was told they would be dispatched that afternoon. A week later I had not received them, so I rang to find out what the problem was. I was told by a very nice lady that there had been problems with the mail deliveries and I should receive them soon. Come the 19th I still had not received them, so I rang again and was told the same story; there had been problems with mail deliveries and I should receive them within the next two weeks!

This is totally unacceptable when an A4 envelope posted in Wanganui, addressed to a PO Box in Gisborne, is still somewhere in the system 11 days later and could be delivered within the next two weeks!

Why does it take so long for mail to be delivered?

Bad enough when you receive a letter from Gisborne Hospital informing you of your appointment date with a specialist, that arrives 10 days after the appointment date!

NZ Post needs a good shake up!

Don’t get me started on the performance one has to go through when posting a package overseas!
