“We continue to treat our natural environment as a business resource, this shows with cuts to DoC (Department of Conservation. While we may be creating stronger international relations and increasing exports in the process of selling off our assets and favouring spies instead of native species, we will be living in a natural environment that will be gradually deteriorating.
“Is it worth making a little more money for 5-10 percent of the population if our land is the sacrifice?”
Of the 146 who responded to the poll, 67 answered “yes’”, 65 said “no” and 14 were undecided, including one school-aged respondent.
