Let’s keep our beaches clean

In support of Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week, I wish to remind people to take care of our beaches, and to use the rubbish bins and recycling stations provided.

I attended the Waikanae Beach Clean-up on Sunday afternoon and it was awesome to see how many folk came out to support this, especially the number of tamariki involved.

These beautiful children are already stepping into the role of kaitiaki. Let us make sure we are good role models too.
