BWF FunDay. Get ready for a day packed with bouncing joy for your little ones. Featuring 22 bouncy castles, including six water slides, as well as obstacle courses and soft play options, 8am, Showgrounds Park. Go to Bubblewrapfun website for tickets.
Add, Subtract, Transform. Gisborne textile artists (Tarts) present their latest exhibition. An eclectic mix which uses different approaches and celebrates the concept of altering fabric or fibre to transform original materials into something unique. Tairāwhiti Museum. On until April 22.
Hypnosis Show. Comedy hypnotist Haiming Jiang is to perform one show in Gisborne. Part of the New Zealand Comedy Festival, it involves audience members becoming the stars of the show, 7pm-9pm, War Memorial Theatre.
The Return at Dome Cinema. A film directed by Uberto Pasolini and starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche, 7pm.
DJ Hitman Johnny. Gisborne’s DJ Hitman Johnny brings his tunes and live energy to Smash Palace Bar, 8pm.
