Hundreds of starlings were seen flocking in mass, doing twists and turns over Waikanae Beach on Friday.
Seeing hundreds, perhaps even thousands of starlings twisting, turning and making shapes in the sky is a phenomenon called murmuration and is a rarely-sighted phenomenon.
