I just wanted to write and thank the voters in the East Coast electorate for trusting in me to deliver for the electorate over the next three years. I am deeply humbled by the support and will always do my best to represent you all fairly, with integrity and withpassion for our region.
It has been a long and sometimes very busy campaign but I was fortunate to have a wonderful team who worked really hard to ensure we covered the ground. It is my great privilege to have won the election and I now go to work for all in our communities as there are many issues we need to address.
Thank you to The Gisborne Herald for its reporting of election issues and candidates’ meetings, and for managing the advertising fairly — you did a great job.
I look forward to meeting many more of you over the next three years.
