A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.

It is quite sad that a community resource is soon to be completely gone from Kaiti Mall (Hub).

I have been a resident in Kaiti for many, many years and have been amazed at the courtesy, patience, tolerance and understanding shown by the staff at the Kaiti Mall Pharmacy (now moved), Kiwibank and NZ Post (going in early March).

They were like friends and whānau and often greeted people by name. They served many people in the Kaiti area who have limited or no transport, who walked to the pharmacy, post office or bank.

I do not know what the financial situation behind this was, but the Kaiti Hub is not a hub without a pharmacy, post office or bank.
