It is appalling that Kiwibank has seen fit to honour abortionist Dame Margaret Sparrow by selecting her as the Ryman Senior New Zealander of the year for 2020. The intent of this honour is to convince women that destroying their unborn child is a service. It is not. It is
a shocking indictment on our society when we honour those who take the lives of our unborn children; each one was a unique and unrepeatable miracle of the Creator's loving creation.
Dame Margaret Sparrow was a leading abortionist in New Zealand and was the director of the Parkview Abortion Clinic in Wellington from 1980 until 1998. During this period she oversaw the killing of tens of thousands of innocent unborn children. It is not appropriate to celebrate the destruction of these children, but rather to mourn with their mothers in the loss of their children.
Western society rests firmly on the foundations of the Judeo-Christian ethic and The Fifth commandment of God is “Thou shalt not kill”. It is always wrong to kill another innocent human being and we ignore this at our peril.
