The region’s unsealed road network has reopened to heavy vehicles after being closed since June 22.
In a report on Tuesday, Gisborne District Council indicated there were still 57 roads closed.
“Our contractors are working to get freight routes reopened,” the council said. “For the most up-to-date information as we
get it from the contractors, please check our website.
“Some roads are open to trucks but not trailer units. If a road’s not listed, then it’s fully open to all vehicles including truck and trailer units. “
