Mr Tipuna said the council appreciated the work carried out by contractors and the demanding conditions had been discussed with contracting teams.
“We have increased mowing frequency when conditions allow, with crews working out of usual hours to try to meet the demand. We also need to be mindful of safety, for example, mowing cannot occur on wet slopes.”
