DOZENS of children attended the opening ceremony yesterday and before long they were biking around the course, which includes roundabouts and traffic lights. Gisborne District Council and Gisborne Wainui Lions were the driving force behind the park.
Mayor Meng Foon opened the park and congratulated Gisborne Wainui Lions for theirwork.
“I can see our children already love it,” he said.
“It has been a community effort, thanks to all our sponsors.”
