New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) has announced Gold FM in Gisborne is to switch frequencies with

feel-good music radio station Coast.

From Monday, May 1, Coast will broadcast on 106.1FM, and Gold FM will switch to the Coast frequency at 88.3FM.

“Coast is a much-loved radio station up and down the country, and we’ve made the decision to change it to be broadcast on a more prominent, far-reaching frequency,” said NZME Gisborne’s Treva Rice.

feel-good music and popular hosts, including Toni Street, Sam Wallace and Jason Reeves.

“Our diehard GOLD FM fans don’t need to worry. They can still tune in for their greatest hits fix via 88.3FM or through their phones, smart speakers or other tech gadgets via iHeartRadio.”
