Staff at Woolworths supermarket were evacuated Friday morning after a Co2 alarm went off in the building.

Fire and Emergency NZ were called to the premises just before 7am.

“The staff had exited the building by the time we got there,” a senior firefighter said.

“We could not find any reason for the alarm to sound, but a technician was called to investigate further.”
