Thieves have stolen two of the popular hire pedal bikes from the Waikanae Beach Top 10 Holiday Park.

Park manager Shirley Burling-Green has made a Facebook plea for public information to get them back.

“Over the past week, two of our pedal carts have gone missing,” she posted on the Gizzy Stolen Facebook page.

“They were awaiting parts for repair and are similar to the ones we have pictured with this story,” she said.

“We’ve been told that they were seen at the Sponge Bay car park over the weekend and one appeared to have had a motor fitted to it.”

The holiday park is the only place in Gisborne that has them.

“They are loved and enjoyed not only by our guests but also by local families in the community,” Burling-Green said.

“If anyone knows where they are, please return them or contact us at the park with any information about their whereabouts.
