Opinion

Our New Zealand flag, flying from the flagpole outside the Gisborne District Council building, is looking very sad.

The four red stars with white borders look almost entirely white and the dark blue is badly faded.

It is time the council purchased a new flag. A more generously sized flag would look much better on the sturdy flagpole.

With all the visitors expected in October, the council will be letting the district down by flying such a miserable flag.
