The Freedom Riders Motorcycle Club held a Poker Run as a fundraiser for Hospice Tairāwhiti on Saturday.

Cycle club members made stops at designated hotels in Gisborne city, Te Karaka, Patutahi, and concluding at Makaraka. At each location, participants had the opportunity to buy raffle tickets for prizes donated by both the club and the participating hotels.

All proceeds from the raffles will be given to Hospice Tairāwhiti. Club president James Ryder expressed the club’s appreciation for the care provided by Hospice Tairāwhiti to the families of club members over recent years.

“We decided to host this fundraiser as a way to say thank you to Hospice for their support during challenging times.”

The riders taking part in the run were pictured outside the Hospice Tairāwhiti rooms at Gisborne Hospital.
