A culinary experience featuring international cuisines is at the heart of an upcoming Tairāwhiti Multicultural Council (TMC) charity event to  raise funds for the children of Gaza.

It will be held tomorrow at the Gisborne Boys’ High School compound from 5pm to 7pm and promises a diverse and delightful experience for the community.

The fundraiser comes in response to the ongoing challenges faced by children in Gaza, who are enduring difficult times due to the ongoing conflict.

The Tairāwhiti Multicultural Council, under the leadership of president Arish Naresh, is determined to make a positive impact and contribute towards alleviating the suffering of these children.

Attendees at the event can look forward to a culinary journey featuring a wide variety of international cuisines. The TMC stand will be a focal point, where all sales proceeds will be dedicated to UNICEF’s Gaza appeal.

“By participating in this event, community members have the opportunity to enjoy delicious food while making a meaningful contribution to the welfare of children in need,” Mr Naresh said.

“We hope that the people of Tairāwhiti will come out in full support of this charitable initiative by not only purchasing food from the diverse array of cuisines available but also by making generous donations.”

Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will contribute to the collective effort in providing aid to the children facing adversity in Gaza.

“While we fervently hope for an end to the conflicts affecting the lives of innocent children, it is essential that we, as a community, take tangible steps to support them in the meantime,” Mr Naresh said.

“Our charity fundraiser is an opportunity for us to come together, enjoy delicious international cuisines, and contribute to UNICEF’s Gaza appeal. Let us stand united in our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of these children.”

The Tairāwhiti Multicultural Council encourages businesses, community groups, and individuals to get involved by attending the event, purchasing food, and making donations.

People who cannot attend can donate directly to the Tairāwhiti Multicultural Council bank account : 38-9015-0014094-00
