Two of Gisborne's chartered clubs are operating under Alert Level 2 while the Cosmopolitan Club will make a decision next week.
Gisborne Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club president Roger Faber said club officials met on Wednesday morning and the club was operating later that day. All patrons must sign in or
scan the Covid QR poster.
Patrons did not have to wear masks in cafes or restaurants and the same group of people could sit together within one metre, he said. They must be seated.
The club operated both bars operating on Wednesday night, usually a busy night at the club, but had since gone back to one bar with a Level 2 maximum capacity of 50 people.
No club promotions were being run and there was no lucky draw night.
