One thing you can be certain of at Gisborne Girls’ High School’s annual athletics sports — there is no shortage of colour. Every year the students wear their “house” colours with pride as they run, jump, throw . . . and pose  for the camera. Fun through participation  is a theme but there is also the serious side of competition, and after the day’s events and points calculations, the school’s athletics champions were found. They are Amber Dearness (senior), Lilla Hain (intermediate) and Indie Nikora (junior). Note, the headline is the Olympic Games motto . . . appropriate given this is an Olympic year.
