Re: new safety fence at Gisborne library

As a regular walker around the city, I find the comments about walking on an even surface quite funny.

I feel a lot of the money being spent on canoe bridges etc. could be better spent improving our roads and footpaths. Some of the road potholes are quite massive and split your attention when driving, between the road surface and the traffic.

I  have heard of children  having close calls running through the shortcut being “hidden” by the garden hedges and popping out in to the carpark. This fence will probably save a few accidents waiting to happen.
