I am involved in research into the weather modification techniques practised by my Druidic and Celtic ancestors in Ireland and Scotland. They apparently had a strong focus on geomagnetism and the movement of the magnetic poles, as a cyclical phenomenon.
It appears they really got their techniques right for makingrain, but getting the sun to predictably appear through the cloud cover seemed to prove more of a hurdle. I wonder if their esoteric, arcane methods are transferable to the Southern Hemisphere? I tend to think not, due to the Coriolis effect, ley lines, or similar.
When I was a kid we were told the story about how you could change the weather by pulling on a rope hanging from the sky. One tug for fine, two tugs for rain or similar. Apparently there were so many arguments the rope broke off, which left us in the (supposed) state of getting what was on offer.
It is a bad day when you don't learn something new, even if it is not what you expect.
