DISCOVERERS of various aspects of evolution such as Charles Darwin and New Zealand’s Allan Wilson are now joined by Dr William Peters, who returns to his home town this week to launch the publication of his findings.
One year ago the pioneer of minimal invasive heart surgery and inventor ofa ground-breaking heart-assist device, took a fresh look at the human heart and circulatory system.
He focused on the circulation pattern and the way electrically-charged particles in the bloodstream work, and found this ultimately determined the human form.
From his investigation into the design of the fish’s heart and circulatory system, and the way the design evolved into the human system, he defined a mathematical model of the process.
“This model demonstrates evolution of the human circulation as a quantum shift from the simpler two-chambered circulation of fish,” writes Dr Peters in the publication of his findings.
The model rests on the discovery that the heart is not just a pump but the centre of the blood circuit’s electron pathway.
In a world premier on Thursday, he will present his discovery which he has published in a handcrafted, limited edition book called Per Sanguinem Nostrum (Through Our Blood).
Printed from copperplate etchings and bound by hand, science and art combine in the book’s 32 pages of text and images.
