The biggest turnout one long-time volunteer had ever seen made the most of the East Coast Museum of Technology yesterday.
On offer during the day was the opportunity to ride in a covered cart drawn by Clydesdale horses, watch a model train set in action and view static and live
displays.
At least one visitor volunteered his skill and experience to help out at the museum.
“We met one person — a former Telecom engineer — who has offered his services to restart our telephone exchange,” said East Coast Museum of Technology committee president Peter Omer.
Even the deputy mayor of Napier dropped in.
