It seems that this page is used as a vehicle for the nurturing of personal agendas.
If the contributors attempt to convert the majority of the residents in our communities to the ideals of the minorities, isn’t it only natural that there will be resentment and reaction? Generally, a very
unpalatable reaction.
Although our national culture encourages primitive confrontation and intimidation, would it not be better to encourage these minority groups to practise a bit of modesty — instead of shoving their differences into the faces of the majority?
This majority I am talking about are the people who collect the rubbish, keep the water running into our homes, the sewage flowing out, grow our food, fix our roads, tend us when we are ill, fill the supermarket shelves with food etc, etc. The people who pay the taxes that support so many of the extremists and radicals that want our society run their way.
Imagine the horror if someone was to organise a khaki parade that only catered for these worker ants?
