Love all the new plantings going on around the district. Could the council please tell us where these plants have come from? I have a sneaking suspicion they have not come from local growers. Am I wrong?

Our primarysuppliers are local growers. Norfolk Nursery supplies our colourful annuals, grown from seed. Native Garden Nursery supplies most of our natives plants. Because natives are slow growing, we sometimes have to source from larger nurseries if they aren’t available here first.
We do use an out-of-town nursery to supply our dune plants, as these require specialist growing conditions. But even though they are grown out of the district, the seeds are sourced from local beaches.
