Gisborne Netball Centre is calling on Victoria Domain users to stop dropping their chewed gum on the courts.

Gisborne Netball Centre is calling on Victoria Domain users to stop dropping their chewed gum on the courts.

Gisborne Netball Centre has made a plea to users of the redeveloped $5 million Victoria Domain not to drop chewing gum on the courts.

“Love your courts – No Gum!” is the message being sent out.

“We’re really saddened to see so much chewing gum stuck on our beautiful new courts,” the centre said on its Facebook page.

“We waited a long time for this resurfacing and it’s heartbreaking to be out there scraping gum off instead of enjoying the game we love.

“Let’s keep our courts in top condition for everyone.

“These courts are for our whole community. Let’s respect them and make sure they last for many seasons to come. Ngā mihi for doing your bit.”

The first seven new courts will be in action again from 8.30am Saturday.
