A call has gone out for freezing workers who were employed at the Gisborne Refrigerating Company to come together for a reunion in late November at the Cosmopolitan Club. File picture

A reunion of former freezing workers at the Gisborne Refrigerating Company is planned for November 25.

All ex-freezing workers who were there from 1948 to 1994, and their families, are invited.

The man organising the reunion, Doug Symes, said they have had a good response to it so far.

“Those people planning to attend need to register and the cost is $15 per person,” he said.

Registrations close on November 15.

Mr Symes said finger food would be provided and bar facilities available at attendees’ own expense.

“There will be no door sales.

“We look forward to seeing as many former members of the GRC as possible.”
