Angus Bull Week starts on Monday with the Ratanui Angus sale at Matawhero at noon that day.
Excitement is building as the region’s 10 Angus studs are set to present more than 350 young black bulls like this striking bloke (pictured) from Alpine Angus at Pehiri over the three days.
A son of Sir Crumble, he epitomises how ready the rising two-year-olds are for this year’s event.
The Ratanui sale is followed Monday afternoon by the Kaharau event, then Whangara and Turihaua studs on Tuesday, Rangatira on Wednesday morning, the combined sale at Matawhero at midday and finishing with Turiroa near Wairoa in the afternoon.
