When did council discuss the spraying of spartina grass in the Taruheru River?
I cannot recall any discussion — or was it one of those “working sessions” that are still unavailable to the public?
As the spraying will bring about landscape and other changes, one assumes that the work hasthe appropriate resource management consent?
And, dare I ask if the public has in any way been consulted before this decision was taken?
The last discussion I remember that mentioned spartina grass was a hare-brained proposal to construct a weir across the Taruheru to create a recreational lake.
