TEN-year-old Lucy Hill and her dad Drew Hill from Gisborne were among more than 50 children and their caregivers who enjoyed a special scenic tour of New Zealand from the air in a 787-9 Dreamliner on Air New Zealand’s special Koru Care flight.
Lucy has complex congenital heart disease. The
flight headed to the South Island and carried out flyovers at Dunedin and Invercargill airports, before returning to Auckland in the late afternoon, cruising low over the Central Plateau on its way up the country.
Air New Zealand and Koru Care have a longstanding relationship and have worked together for more than 30 years.
