IT’S TURNED OUT NICE AGAIN: Pro uke player Peter Moss will appear in Gisborne. Picture supplied
PROFESSIONAL ukulele player Peter Moss will perform at the Gisborne Bowling Club on October 27 as part of Gisborne Ukulele Underground’s regular monthly gathering.
Moss is also offering a one-hour workshop from 6pm at the same venue. The workshop will focus on syncopated strumming patterns derived from English actor, singer-songwriter
and comedian George Formby. Three right-handed patterns Formby commonly used will be explored during the workshop.
These will then be used for Formby’s famous 1930s tune, When I’m Cleaning Windows. Either a ukulele or banjolele can be used. Cost $20. Includes entry to Ukulele Underground and to hear Peter Moss’s performance. To book, contact write@gems.co.nz.
