The Gisborne Volunteer Centre is all set to host the Two Minutes of Good Stuff Film Festival on Friday at the Lawson Field Theatre.

The event was to have taken place in June during National Volunteer Week 2023, however, it was postponed due to unfavourable weather events and road closures to the original venue.

The film festival, created by the Gisborne Volunteer Centre, will showcase two-minute films based around the theme “Volunteers Build Communities”. Eleven organisations are involved in this year’s film festival and the evening will include the presentation of awards. The films are judged by three independent judges to decide the best overall.

The Gisborne Volunteer Centre board of trustees will also pick their favourite and there is a People’s Choice award, decided on the night by audience voting.

Hilary Barry from TVNZ’s Seven Sharp is the guest keynote speaker and will present the awards at this year’s festival.
