Enjoy the flavours of Brazil in the voice, guitar and pandeiro (hand frame drum) by Brazilian musician Isabella Rovo in the Dome Garden. Brought to the Dome by Spellbound Wax Company, the jardim Cúpula will sing with a collage of traditional and contemporary Brazilian songs.
She will be joined by
local bass player and original Brazealand member Charles Barrie for a few tunes. Brazealand is a six-piece band featuring Brazilian and Kiwi musicians who perform rhythms and dances such as samba, bossa-nova, forro, frevo, baiao, xote, coco, ciranda and maracatu e marchinhas.
Rovo's visit to New Zealand and Gisborne is part of a nationwide tour to celebrate Brazealand's 10th anniversary. Rovo formed and led Brazealand when she lived in Wellington from 2008 – 2010.
