School holidays are here, and if you need a simple and engaging project to keep your kids occupied, try Painted Rock Fish and Ladybird Rock Painting. These creative activities require just a few materials found at home, making them perfect for a day of fun and artistry. Get ready to unleash your kids’ creativity with these rock painting projects!

PAINTED ROCK FISH

This is a fun and easy project for the kids to do using materials that can be found at home.

YOU’LL NEED:

Rocks (x1 large and x1 small size)

Kids paint & brush

Googly eyes

Kids glue

STEPS:

1. You will need to grab two rocks — a big rock for the body and a small rock for the tail.

2. Make sure the rocks are clean.

3. Paint the two rocks using your favourite colours and patterns.

4. Wait for the paint to dry.

5. Attach the googly eyes on the larger painted rock using some kids glue.

You can always paint the eye and mouth on the rock as well, instead.

Your rock fish is now ready!

rocks/river stones

Decide on a design for your ladybird –it could be a traditional red and black

design or get creative and choose some different colours. If you have some

smaller or different-shaped rocks, you could also create some other bugs like

TIPS:

• Make sure your rocks are clean and dry before you begin painting.
