Among artists in Saturday’s Waitangi Day Out line-up is local singer/songwriter and special guest Raiha Moetara.

A 2014 Play it Strange finalist/recording artist, Moetara’s original song Homeland was one of five songs from Gisborne Girls’ High School selected for the 2014 Lion Foundation CD.

Also an actor with a performing background through her family, and Maori performing arts training at Te Wananga o Aotearoa, Moetara featured in her uncle Teina Moetara’s Rongowhakaata Iwi Trust productions, All Roads Lead to Ngatapa, and The Land of Milk and Honey.

Moetara will release her first single in April.
